FDJ have announced a versatile squad for the Vuelta a Andalucia. Young climbers Kenny Elissonde and Alexandre Geniez will try to shine in the two summit finishes while Arthur Vichot will use the race to prepare for the classics.
FDJ will head to the Vuelta a Andalucia with a team that should be able to make an impact in most of the stages. Young climbers Kenny Elissonde and Alexandre Geniez who both won big mountain stages in the 2013 Vuelta a Espana, will take most of the attention and should be able to excel in the two big summit finishes in the unusually hard early-season race.
For the flat stages, the team will count on Anthony Roux and Murilo Fischer who can both mix it up in the bunch sprints while Arthur Vichot could use his fast speed at the end of the intermediate stages. For Roux and Vichot, the race will be an important preparation for the Ardennes classics.
Jeremy Roy will be a loyal domestique and may target the time trial on the first day. The team is completed by Cedric Pineau who is likely to work in support of his teammates.
