Cycling Australia have announced the finalists for the yearly Australian Cyclist of the Year Awards. The finalists for the most prestigious award, the Sir Hubert Oppermann Medal, will be announced on Monday.
After another year of outstanding success, Cycling Australia announces the finalists for the Jayco 2014 Australian Cyclist of the Year Awards.
To be held in Melbourne on Friday 21 November, the night will be highlighted by the presentation of the Sir Hubert 'Oppy' Opperman Medal & Trophy to the 2014 Australian Cyclist of the Year.
The announcement of the winner of the Subaru People's Choice Award will be a feature, with thousands of cycling fans casting their votes for their favourite cyclist from 2014.
Cycling Australia will also announce a Tour de France 'Team of the Century' during the night, with 2014 being the 100th anniversary of Don Kirkham and Iddo ‘Snowy’ Munro becoming the first Australians to ride the Tour.
