With the cobbled classics now behind us, it is time for a changing of the guards in the Northern Europe. While the powerful riders take a well-deserved rest, the explosive climbers enter the scene in the Ardennes classics. Tomorrow, it is time for the tradition warm-up race, the Brabantse Pijl, and starting at 14.55 CEST you can follow all the action on CyclingQuotes.com.
The Brabantse Pijl is a perfect bridge between the cobbles and the Ardennes classics. With 25 climbs - 15 of those inside the final 70km - perfect climbing skills are the main requirement for any quest at success in the race. However, the length of the hills is more comparable with that of the Flemish hellingen than what is found in the Ardennes, and the race is thus usually dominated by a mix of Ardennes specialists and the most explosive cobbles riders.
Starting tomorrow at 14.55, you can follow all the action here. Until then, you can prepare by reading our preview here.
