The first European WorldTour race is the prestigious Paris-Nice which traditionally signals the arrival of spring. However, things are different his time as the organizers have designed a novel course that makes the race more open than ever before. With no time trials or major summit finishes, tactics, bonus seconds, aggressiveness, and punch seem to be the key words in a race where classics specialists will be on equal footing with the stage race riders.
