The People's Choice Classic is a fast criterium in Adelaide that allows the organizers to present their formidable line-up for the Australian race and the big sprinters are raring to go in what is expected to be their first big battle of the 2015 season. Richie Porte and Cadel Evans may be the two big favourites for the Tour Down Under but thw theo heroes first have to give way for the sprinters who will take the spotlight on the first day of racing in Australia. The People's Choice Classic has always been a festival for the fast finishers and it will be a big surprise if they don't get the chance to shine on the flat circuit in Adelaide.

The race was once a part of the Tour Down Under but nowadays it is a warm-up event that allows the organizers to show off their formidable line-up. Nonetheless, the race is a hotly contested affair for the sprinters who are looking for a confidence boost before the first stage of the actual race. Last year Marcel Kittel won the race by beating Mr Tour Down Under, André Greipel, and while the latter will be absent in 2015, the former will be eager to try to make it two in a row. However, he will face stiff competition from the likes Giacomo Nizzolo, Juan Jose Lobato, Heinrich Haussler, Mark Renshaw, Barry Markus, Roberto Ferrari, Steele Von Hoff, Wouter Wippert, Kenny Dehaes, Greg Henderson, Silvan Dillier, Chris Sutton, Michal Kolar, Samuel Dumoulin, Ruslan Tleubayev, Rüdiger Selig, Lorrenzo Manzin, Sebastien Chavanel and Niccolo Bonifazio who are just some of the many sprinters in attendance.
