Today will bring much insight into the future of Team Saxo-Tinkoff when team owner Bjarne Riis, Alberto Contador and Nicolas Roche will give "important information about the future of the team" at a press conference in London. Starting at 16.00 you can watch the live streaming from the session right here at CyclingQuotes.com.

There has been many rumours and much speculation about the future of Team Saxo-Tinkoff but today is set to bring much clarification. The team has invited the press to attend a press conference in London at 16.00 CET.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Russian businessman who has been a co-sponsor of the team for the past 18 months, has bought the team from owner Bjarne Riis for six million Euro. The report comes in the aftermath of close links between the parties that stem from the participation of Tinkov and Russian riders Ivan Rovny and Nikolay Trusov at the recent team training camp in Gran Canaria and the confirmation of the negotiations by riders Nicolas Roche and Matthew Brammeier.

Riis is reported to continue as team manager on a four-year contract that will earn him a yearly salary of 1 million Euro. It remains to be seen which role current main sponsor Saxo Bank will play in the future.

At one point it was reported by Danish public broadcaster that Google will come onboard as a main sponsor. The press conference will take place in the company's London office but Shift Active Media, partner with Google in Global Cycling Network who will provide live streaming of the conference, has claimed that the location is only chose for technical reasons.

CyclingQuotes is happy to offer you access to the live streaming from event. Starting at 16.00 CET you can become one of the first to know more about the team's future by using the player below.
