The cycling season is coming to an end but there is still one WorldTour race left on the calendar. For the third year in a row, the Chinese Tour of Beijing is the final race in the most prestigious race series and the organizers have designed the toughest course yet. For the first time ever, the race has a real mountaintop finish and strong climbers like Daniel Martin, Ivan Basso, Robert Gesink, Richie Porte, Michael Rogers and new world champion Rui Costa are ready to battle for WorldTour points on the Chinese slopes. Yesterday's stage established the GC and it is now time for the sprinters to get back into the spotlight on the final stage of the final WorldTour race of the season. The most prestigious race series ends in spectacular fashion in central Beijing with a 117km stage that starts on Tiananmen Square and finishes with 12 laps on an 8km completely flat finishing circuit in the area close to the Olympic stadium. The stage ha been part of all editions of the Chinese race and was won by Denis Galimzyanov in the maiden year 2011 while Elia Viviani won one year ago. The latter is back in Beijing this year bu faces stiff competition from Nacer Bouhanni who has proved to be the fastest rider in the peloton.
