After a turbulent career Martin Reimer will step down to continental level. The former German champion has signed a contract with the LKT Team Brandenburg for 2015 and will be one of the leaders of the team.
After six years, Martin Reimer will return to his former team. The 27-year-old who became a surprise German road champion in his home town of Cottbus in 2009, will strengthen LKT Team Brandenburg in 2015. He last rode for the team in 2008.
Later Retiner turned professional at Cervelo Test Team and joined Skil-Shimano at the end fo 2010. In the last two years, he has been under contract with the South African pro continental team MTN-Qhubeka but he was unable to achieve any wins.
At the continetal team from Brandenburg, the all-rounder will lead a 13-rider roster which has an average age of just 18.5 years, according to the team management. "I want to share my experience with the next generation of riders," the big-name signing said in a press release from the team.
