2012 runner-up Sebastien Turgot (Ag2r) will lead Ag2r in Paris-Roubaix. He will joined by Damien Gaudin who has been fifth in the race.
“Paris-Roubaix is, just like Tour of Flanders, an outstanding race," Turgot said. "It is a special moment in the cycling season. The public, the cycling sensations, the cobblestones and the general atmosphere, everything is unique. At the end our legs hurt like hell. There is a lot of pain whether it is in our wrists, our arms or our backs…
"In 2012, I had the great privilege to finish the race in second place but I needed time to realize I did an outstanding result. I had other great results in 2013 (10th overall) and 2014 (14th) but last year I had a serious knee handicap. This season I am feeling much better and, therefore, I have great expectations. Actually, I have been in good shape since Tour of Oman. '
"There will be two favorite riders to beat this Sunday, Sagan and Cancellara. I will need to anticipate their moves and to be as brave as possible in order to challenge them.
"In Paris-Roubaix, the race gets to the heart of the matter from Mons en Pévèle. However, the final decision depends on your ability to avoid crashes and to follow the numerous accelerations. For instance, last Sunday in Tthe our of Flanders I was really confident but I crashed at km 140 when I was among the leaders. Hopefully I was more scared than hurt but it was a disillusion because winning the Ronde, like Paris-Roubaix, was one of my season goals. To be honest, you also need to be fortunate to win these two races.”
Nico Denz will be the only debutanton ther roster for Paris-Roubaix. The German rider is a former boarder from the team's own training center, Chambéry Cyclisme Formation. He turned professional on August 1, 2015.
