Victim of a heavy crash with 800 meters to go to the finish line during the 7th stage of the Tour de France finishing in Nancy, Mathias Frank underwent a successful surgery at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) to reduce the fracture of the left femur. Throughout the procedure, which was performed Saturday morning, everything went satisfactorily for rider who had been the Tour de France general classification leader for IAM Cycling.
If his recovery goes according to plans, Mathias Frank will be able to begin his rehabilitation and quietly resume training on the indoor rollers within three weeks depending on how the injury improves.
