Tinkoff-Saxo may have unveiled a new training kit that has a camouflage design, but the French Army team, who will race at the Continental level in 2015, have gone a step further, making it their permanent kit, as they will race at the continental level in 2015.
According to a report in the Parisien newspaper, the l'Armée de Terre team will step up a level next season and be registered as a “Continental non professional” team. Their riders will remain member of the army, but will also be allowed to race against other French professionals.
The special dispensation was confirmed by the general assembly of the Fédération Française de Cyclisme (FFC) on Friday afternoon. l'Armée de Terre will become the fourth French Continental team in France, alongside the BigMat-Auber 93, Team Marseille 13-KTM and Team Roubaix-Lille Métropole teams.
“l'Armée will be at the start of the GP la Marseillaise on February 1,” David Lappartient, the president of FFC told Parisien.
