Having been with the French Federation since the early 2000s, Bernard Borreau has decided to resign as coach of the French national team, more than three years after his appointment as leader of the elites during the summer of 2013. The successor to Laurent Jalabert will devote himself to his family.
"I've always had a deep respect for Bernard Borreau who embodies the values and the spirit of the FFC,” says President David Lappartient. “He has done a great job and shown great leadership skills regardless of the generation he has led during his thirty-two seasons within our federation. His strength is to have maintained a young and fighting spirit. Bernard Bourreau was a coach that every federation President wants to have in his sports team. He embodies the nobility of the job, with an eye particularly on detecting talents of tomorrow. For all this, simply: THANK Bernard.”
The FFC will now search for a new coach of the French team for 2017.
