It looks increasingly likely that the GP Cholet-Pays de la Loire will no longer be on the cycling calendar in 2016. Organizer François Faglain has told Courrier de l'Ouest that he no longer has confidence in the chances that the race will be held.
The reason for the disappearance is financial. The organizers have a deficit of 15,000 euros and have tried to fill this gap since October. "Under the current circumstances, the race can not take place," said Faglain.
The race has been held under various names since 1978.
