The stage racing elite head to western Switzerland this week for a scenic and mountainous test at the Tour de Romandie (28 April-3 May).
The six-day event has changed its format for 2015 with the re-introduction of a team time trial (the first since 2009) to kick things off. There is also a significant summit finish to Champex-Lac later on Saturday which will shake up the general classification before the concluding individual time trial on Sunday.
Team Sky will be hoping for a fourth consecutive victory in this WorldTour race after Bradley Wiggins (2012) and Chris Froome (2013, 2014) both made it their own.
Froome returns to lead the squad this year, while Luke Rowe, Ian Stannard, Geraint Thomas and Elia Viviani rejoin the peloton after their classics exploits. Peter Kennaugh, Danny Pate and Nicolas Roche round out an impressive squad.
