Team Sky have got a prestigious block of racing coming up and the line-ups are now confirmed for Milan-San Remo and the Volta a Catalunya.
Geraint Thomas is straight back in the saddle following his dramatic victory at Paris-Nice, taking part in both WorldTour races along with the ever-reliable Ben Swift.
Swift finished third at Milan-San Remo back in 2014 and could be in the mix again this time around. Elia Viviani will also fancy his chances at La Primavera if he is still in contention after the Cipressa and Poggio climbs, and the team definitely have plenty of cards to play in the first Monument of the season.
Peter Kennaugh, Michal Kwiatkowski, Luke Rowe and Ian Stannard are also capable of strong rides, with Salvatore Puccio always looking to impress on his native Italian roads.
Milan-San Remo takes place on Saturday 19 March, and immediately after that race, Thomas and Swift will jet down to Spain for the start of the Volta a Catalunya, which runs between Monday 21 and Sunday 27 March.
Chris Froome returns to action in that race for the first time since his Herald Sun Tour triumph, and will lead the Team Sky charge in a squad brimming with climbing talent.
As well as the on-form Thomas, Ian Boswell, Mikel Nieve, Wout Poels and Nicolas Roche will make the team a force to be reckoned with when the road ramps upwards. Vasil Kiryienka will play his usual powerhouse role on the flats while Swift is able to pack a punch in the sprints.
The team won the Volta a Catalunya last season with Richie Porte and will be going all-out for a repeat performance this time around.
