"The World Tour races are always more complicated, but this one is very important on the calendar, so I expect to have a complicated week."

Those were the words of Astana's Miguel Ángel López after stage two at the Tour de Suisse. López and teammate Jakob Fuglsang found themselves at the front of the peloton in the final 20km after the final climb of the circuit race around Zug and the nearby lakes.

López, a 21-year old Colombian who won the overall classification and the Polka Dot Mountain Leader's Jersey at the 2014 Tour de l'Avenir, has recovered fully from tendonitis in the early season and is rested and ready to assist Fuglsang in the high Swiss Alps. Fuglsang and López finished Sunday's stage 4 seconds behind solo stage winner Kristijan Durasek of Croatia.

Alexey Lutsenko finished 1:01 behind and led his group to the finish.

Fuglsang moves from 32nd to 4th overall, 14 seconds behind race leader Tom Dumoulin of the Netherlands. López moves from 99th to 13th in General Classification with six more stages to race.
