The menu after the second rest day contains four Alp stages and the final stage to Paris. Today, the riders are riding from Digne-les-Bains to Pra Loup, 161 kilometres over the Col d’Allos and the final climb towards the finish. In the Dauphiné a few weeks ago, the same stage was ridden; Romain Bardet won. Tony Gallopin previews what is ahead.

“I had a hard day on Monday so I lost a few minutes on the other riders from the top ten," he said. "I need to be realistic. I didn’t expect before the Tour that I would ride for a top ten spot, but I like it though. On the one hand, it suffices to pass only one rider to restore my place in the top ten. On the other hand, I might get more freedom from the favourites so that I can be in the breakaway and go for a stage win. We’ll see how the next days are going. Thanks to the stage wins, we already have a good Tour. Everything we win from now on, is a nice bonus.”
