It has been a good start to the season for Francesco Gavazzi. The rider from Astana finished in 7th place yesterday in the third stage of the Tour of Oman proving to have a very good condition that has allowed so far to get seven placings among the top ten of fifteen races ridden so far in 2014.
"The final was a little dangerous and chaotic” - said the athlete from Morbegno, recounting the final fraction which took place yesterday – “we got to the downhill with a strong wind in the sprint and no one wanted to take the lead with all that tried to hide the left and right."
In the coming days for Gavazzi there will be other opportunities to show off, in the hope that it will soon find a victory that he lacks since October 2012, when it was imposed on the Great Wall at the Tour of Beijing.
