With two stage wins where he beat Mark Cavendish and Sacha Modolo, Fernando Gaviria has had a breakthrough at the Tour de San Luis. At only 20 years of age, his future looks bright and the next logical step is to go to Europe. For the moment, however, he prefers to stay at home.

His wins have opened the eyes of the big teams and many of those will be keen to sign the Colombian. Actually, he has already been contacted by five WorldTour teams but he remains very cautious.

“I am in talks with some but I am very calm. I have to get the right advise to avoid making the wrong decision. I will analyze the situation and make a decision for 2016. I don’t think about the money. I love cycling and want to win. My priority is the present, the rest will follow,” he said on the post-stage press conference, according to Biciciclismo. Hence, he will ride for Colombia-Coldeportes in 2015, with his next goal being the track world championships from February 18-22.
