Midway through the 105th edition of the Berlin Six Days race the lead shifted as both Roger Kluge and Marcel Kalz from Germany and Belgians Kenny de Ketele and Moreno de Pauw gained a bonus lap to join previous leaders Yoeri Havik and Nick Stöpler from Holland on the leading lap.

To emphasize their mean intensions, Kluge and Kalz managed to win both Madisons of the evening. However, they were unable to gain a lap on their two main rivals. All other teams trail by at least two laps and seem without realistic chances of reaching the podium.
