Team Giant-Alpecin is pleased to announce that Arthur van Dongen will join the coaching staff as of 2016.
Van Dongen comes from Rabobank Development Team, where he has worked with many Dutch talents who are now racing in the pro peloton. Over the years he has also worked with several professional women’s and continental teams.
“I have always liked the vision of Team Giant-Alpecin, with its focus on innovation and working with riders to develop them to their full potential,” said van Dongen. “This is something I have been working on for years, and I am looking forward to continuing it with this team on the highest level. It is a dream come true for me to work in the WorldTour, and I am very happy with this step.”
CEO Iwan Spekenbrink said: “Arthur is an experienced coach, and with his extensive experience and organizational skills he will be a great asset to our riders and to the team as a whole at the highest level. He has a great track record of supporting talented young riders in their development into the pro ranks. Arthur will now help Team Giant-Alpecin develop the most talented professionals into respected and successful pros, and hopefully into tomorrow’s stars.”
