Tom Dumoulin showed he is in a great shape during the last Vuelta a Espana and became an outsider for the three-week races. The Dutch rider has a contract that expires at the end of 2016, but he would like to extended it to 2017.
According to De Telegraaf, Giant Alpecin is trying to get a deal done to keep him through to the end of 2017. In order to assure it, the Dutch team are also reportedly looking to bring on more climbing support to rally behind Dumoulin as they eye up GC success.
