Cyclingnews have reported that Giant-Alpecin are very interested in Edvald Boasson Hagen and are monitoring the Norwegian, whose contract with Dimension Data expires at the end of the season.
Their current Classics star is John Degenkolb, whose deal is also up at the end of 2016. He has been linked with Trek-Segafredo but everything will hinge on whether or not the winner of the 2015 editions of Milan-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix can fully recover from a bad crash sustained in pre-season that almost cost him an index finger.
Cyclingnews understands that talks between the German team and Boasson Hagen’s agent are already underway, although they are very informal.
