Team Giant-Shimano is known as a team of sprinters and so it is only fitting that they have won the sprint-friendly Tour de Picardie twice in a row. This year they hope to continue their run of success when they line up at the 3-day race with Ramon Sinkeldam as their captain.
Tom Dumoulin and Dries Devenyns return to action here after a short break following the Spring Classics, and they are joined by Jonas Ahlstrand and also Ramon Sinkeldam who took second on the opening stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque last week.
"This race is usually decided in time bonuses in the sprints and we will focus on Ramon here for the fast finishes," confirmed Team Giant-Shimano coach, Lionel Marie.
"Brian [Bulgac] also starts here and he is showing good form recently and has settled well since joining the team at the start of May. Together with Dries and Tom D who are returning to racing here we can also go on the offensive if the opportunities arise, and look to be ready for all eventualities."
