It’s year when he hope to be better than in 2016 and where he hopes to show himself in the 100th Giro d’Italia.
“I never had good feelings,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport evoking regarding the 2016 season. “I never really felt like myself on the bike. So I take it as a sort of a missed year which gives me the motivation to return to the best level. I'm sure I can get there. My crash during the 2015 Giro did not affect me. If there is a problem, it dates back to 2014 when I broke the tibia and fibula. It may have caused some problems.”
