In 2014, Marco Canola took a breakthrough victory when he beat Jackson Rodriguez and Angelo Tulik to win a stage of the Giro d'Italia. The Italian is now ready for a new adventure at the UnitedHealthCare team.

Marco Canola is ready for a new adventure. The stage winner at this year's Giro d'Italia will leaveBardiani - CSF to join the ambitious American UnitedHealthcare team that is gradually stepping up its level from year to year.

Interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Canola claims that he has "found the perfect team" with "the same desire, the same projects and the same principles" as the ones he had found with the Bardiani team. The 25-year-old rider has already started to prepare for the new season after he "finished 2014 very early" (his last race was the Tour of Denmark in August), hoping to start at the Tour de San Luis without being forced to "chase his form".

Despite its US license, UnitedHealthcare is a team with a strong Italian soul due to the presence of riders Alessandro Bazzana, Davide Frattini, Daniele Ratto and Federico Zurlo and the sports director Roberto Damiani. Canola has already been able to learn some lessons from the former Lampre director who has made his realize that he has to work hard to achieve his dreams.

Speaking about dreams, Canola promptly pointed to Liege-Bastogne-Liege race as his favorite race. 

"I don't want to sound cocky but my dream is to finish in the top 10".
