Lotto-Belisol’s Andre Greipel took the sixth edition of the one-day Ronde van Zeeland in a sprint decision today.
Jens Debusschere (Lotto Belisol), Maarten van Trijp (Rabobank Development) Robert de Greef (Jo Piels) Sjors Roosen (Jo Piels), Loic Desriac (Roubaix) and Kenneth Vanbilsen (Topsport Vlaanderen) were the early escapees in the 201.4km stage but the lead group was reeled in by the Lotto-Belisol and Argos Shimano-led peloton with 8km to go.
Greipel sat comfortably behind his lead-out train and subsequently lashed out to claim his ninth win of the season ahead of Ramon Sinkeldam (Team Argos-Shimano) and Kenny Van Hummel (Vacansoleil-DCM).
