Stage 21, the stage that every Tour de France rider has been looking forward to since Utrecht. The quiet run-up, riding on the Champs-Elysées with a big applause and the circuit in the final hour. From Sèvres to Paris, 109.5 kilometres will be covered. After three stage wins, this Tour has been very succesful for Lotto Soudal. But every rider wants to win the unofficial world championship for the sprinters on the Champs-Elysées, also André Greipel.
“Of course this is the most special sprint of the season," he said. "Everyone dreams about the Champs-Elysées. But just like in all other sprints, the preparation is very important to ride a perfect sprint. Thanks to the three stage wins we have a lot of confidence, but today, every sprinter has an equal chance to win.”
