One year ago Andriy Grivko finished third overall in the Eneco Tour and this year he is back for more after having done a highly successful Tour de France with Astana. Having placed 7th in the time trial, the Ukrainian is confident in his chances.

Andriy Grivko finished Wednesday’s short, windy time trial across Breda in seventh position, 17 seconds behind stage winner Tom Dumoulin, a Dutch rider competing in his home region.

“We have a good shot at a GC spot this week," he said. "We’re all here, ready . We put it together and we ride for the best result possible."

Grivko said his July Tour de France form has held through brief racing and adequate rest, and the training he maintained in the past two weeks is good for the remaining stages ahead at the Eneco Tour.

Thursday is a return to a likely sprint finish, and another chance for stage one winner Andrea Guardini to aim for the top step of the podium.

Grivko is now fourth overall in General Classification – seven seconds behind leader Lars Boom, also from the Netherlands, and five seconds in front of fifth place, Zdenek Stybar of the Czech Republic.
