"Seconds are important now. Everybody who is going for classification wants them. This makes the Golden Sprints valuable. Gilbert is going for them, Spilak, Kelderman - I am."
Those were the words of Astana's Andrei Grivko after stage two at the Eneco Tour. Grivko contested the Golden Sprint and it's valuable time bonuses together with Philipe Gilbert of Belgium on Tuesday during a stage destined for a sprint finish and no substantial changes to General Classification.
Grivko finished in the same time as stage winner Andrei Greipel of Germany, who remains raceleader, but the Ukrainian climbed from 64th to 13th overall. Grivko held on for one more second of bonus against Gilbert as the race moves next into Belgium for a start near Antwerp and a finish in Ardooie.
