Astana Pro Team has announced a mutual one-year contract extension with Andrea Guardini.
Guardini, 26, remains at Astana Pro Team in 2016 for his 4th season with the squad, and has won 14 races since he joined in 2013. In a career that began professionally in 2009, Guardini has more than 30 victories, including stages at the 2012 Giro d'Italia and the 2014 World Ports Classic.
Guardini is the all-time record holder for stage victories at Malaysia's Tour de Langkawi with 18 victories and 30 Top-10 finishes.
Astana Pro Team General Manager Alexandr Vinokurov praised Guardini and welcomed the contract extension.
"Guardini has shown consistent progress with our team, and we are confident that he can continue to race and win among the best sprinters in the peloton," he said.
