After four years, Romain Hardy has decided to return to the team where he started his pro career, Fortuneo Vital Concept which was formerly known as Bretagne-Schuller.

Having been riding for Cofidis since the end of 2012, Hardy failed to truly make his mark in the team despite some nice performances during his four seasons. Thus, 2017 represents a "fresh start" in a team that he knows, and with a role he likes. 

"When I am on form, you can count on me in all terrains,” the 28-year-old rider told at L'Orne Combattante. “I'll join my director Emmanuel Hubert who made me turn professional and with whom I have always had an excellent relationship. That's why I came back to the team while Cofidis wanted me after my excellent performances at the Vuelta (4 top 10 results). My choice was made and I will have more freedom in Fortuneo where, apart from my role as a teammates, I can also play my card from time to time, especially in the Coupe de France races like Paris-Camembert. "  

In 2011, he was also second in his home race in Camembert. Next year he took his only pro win at the Tour du Haut Var.
