CCC Sprandi Polkowice already have clear ideas about their roster for 2015 Giro d’Italia. President Robert Krajwski is satisfied with the invitation to the Giro which represents "the recognition of the work done in recent years by not only our team but the whole Polish cycling movement” and will allow a Polish team to do a grand tour for the first time in 12 years. Hence, it is an event of great importance and the team plans to be part of the action after a winter season in which they were greatly reinforced.
The Polish team has the intention of not being pack fill and wants to “show all its value both in the general classification and in the individual stages.” According to Spaziociclismo, the team has already chosen the riders that will represent them in the most important race of their season. Sylwester Szmyd and Branislau Samoilau are likely to be the GC riders while Grega Bole will try to make his mark in sprints from reduced groups. Bartlomiej Matysiak will be the man for the sprints while Maciej Paterski and Mateusz Taciak will be the rouleurs of the group. YoungJan Hirt is expected to show himself in the mountain stages while youngster Christian Delle Stelle will be another fast rider in the team.
If the Italian website is correct, the team has already chosen 8 of its riders, meaning that there is only one spot left for either Stefan Schumacher or Davide Rebellin. The team may choose to leave both of the controversial riders at home, with RCS Sport being keen not to attract too much negative publicity.
