Today the Tour de France is moving away from the coast. When you look at the profile, it’s quite clear: we will see a sprint in Angers.
André Greipel's lead-out man Greg Henderson previews the stage.
“Today we get a new chance to sprint for the victory," he said. "It will be a different finish than Saturday, with the last kilometre going slightly uphill, something that should suit André and the team.
"The result of a sprint is the addition of many factors. It all starts with riders escaping the peloton at the start of the stage and ends with the jump on the finish line. Today we get the last corner at only three hundred metres from the finish, so you have be at the front when coming out of that corner. It’s a pity we couldn’t win on Saturday, but we analysed the sprint and are ready to go for it again.”
