Jonathan Hivert will Bretagne-Séché Environnement at the Tour of Luxembourg.
The Frenchman has decided to skip the Tour de France as he suffers from allergy in hot weather and after a short break he hopes to be in the mix in the Luxembourgish race, continuing his string of top 10 results from the early part of the season. In Luxembourg, he feels at home: he finished 5th in the final standings in 2007, 4th in 2012 and 2nd in 2013.
"This race suits me," he says. "Especially the prologue which is always the same: 2.7km with a difficult climb and two fast, technical descents. I have always been among the best. And the four stages suit to my profile as a puncheur. I am often in the mix."
He will be well supported by Arnaud Gerard and Florian Vachon who have been selected for the Tour de France, Romain Feillu (already a winner of two stages in Luxembourg), Frédéric Brun, Armindo Fonseca and Florian Guillou who are in contention for Tour selection, and Kevin Ledanois who prepares for the road race at the European Games.
