Even though there was no official announcement from the race organizers on that matter, according to Italian media IAM Cycling will be the only Pro Continental team provided with an opportunity to participate in the Tour de Romandie, held from April 29th to May 4th this year.
It seems highly unlikely that Tour de Romandie organizers will grant any other invitation for the event which will kick off in less than two weeks. As a consequence, 18 WorldTour teams and 1 Pro Continental squad are expected to line up at the start of the Swiss race, which future as a part of the WorldTour calendar has been secured through 2016 season this year.
