Aside from neo-pros under 25, IAM Cycling only offer one-year deals to their riders. After it was reported they were looking to sign a big name rider, the Swiss squad have indicated they may offer a larger deal to attract that big name.
“Everything will depend on the duration of the contract that could be determined with the potential co-sponsor,” IAM sports director Rik Verbrugghe told Cycling Weekly. “Based on that agreement then we could either remain on the one-year contract policy or, alternatively, offer longer commitments to our riders.”
The team has had great results lately, putting two in the top ten at Roubaix as the highlight of the season for them so far. They have four wins: Clasica Almeria (Leigh Howard), stage and GC Etoile de Bessèges (Jerome Coppel) and GP Marseillaise (Dries Devenyns).
