BMC Racing Team's Marcus Burghardt remained fourth overall Wednesday at the Tour de Pologne as teammate Silvan Dillier finished eighth.

Maciej Bodnar (Tinkoff-Saxo) won the 220-kilometer race from what remained of a 3-rider breakaway. The peloton, with Dillier and Burghardt, arrived 20 seconds later.

Dillier was involved in Monday's massive pile-up at the end of Stage 2. The Swiss national time trial champion had to be X-rayed after the race and was diagnosed with a bone bruise on his lower back.

"The sprint was OK, not super good, but OK because it was not a very big bunch," Dillier said. "There were not a lot of sprinters left and the helpers of the other teams were already tired. So then it was a bit easier for me.

"My lower back is more or less OK now. But I feel my ribs now more. Fortunately, nothing is broken. I hit the ground and maybe another bike pretty hard. So it will probably hurt another week."

In the overall standings, Burghardt is 22 seconds behind new race leader Kamil Zielinski (Poland). Three stages remain, including a 25 km individual time trial on the last day.
