Due to a crash in the Vuelta a Andalucia, Spanish Cofidis rider Daniel Navarro will not participate in the upcoming Paris-Nice which begins on March 8. His team has made the announcement on their Twitter account.
Earlier the organizers announced the Spaniard to be the Cofidis leader for the race but he had an accident at the Ruta del Sol that left him with a broken finger and three broken ribs. The plan for Navarro was to return to the race after a one-year absence. In 2013 he was 12th and in 2012 he was 15th, his best performances yet.
Navarro is next scheduled to ride at the Vuelta al Pais Vasco but may now decide to include the Volta a Catalunya in his schedule.
