According to CyclingNews, Giro d’Italia organizers have reached an agreement with Italian supermarket chain Eurospin, which will sponsor the best young rider’s white jersey from event’s next edition.

The white jersey, or la maglia blanca, was first introduced in 1976 and is awarded to the best under 25 rider of the event. The Giro d’Italia young rider classification was recently dominated by Colombian climbers, as Rigoberto Uran (Omega Pharma – Quick Step), Carlos Betancur (Ag2r-La Mondiale) and Nairo Quintana (Movistar) respectively took the jersey in last three editions of the event.
