Andrea Fedi (Southeast) surprised everybody on the hard circuit of San Luca in the Giro dell'Emilia where he finished in second place behind a great Jan Bakelants, having been a protagonist in a long breakaway.
"Today felt really great legs," he told Spaziociclismo. "As opposed to others I like the rain. I tried from the distance, I knew that I would be unable to follow the last accelerations. I found a great partner in Madrazo. When Bakelants returned, I lost a bit of hope because he is strong. In the difficult passage, he accelerated really strongly. Then I gave everything to the finish. It's a second place that satisfies me, I'm looking for my limits and to achieve a result in such a hard race gives me hope."
The Italian wanted to emphasize that he is "still discovering himself," trying to figure out where he can shine after two seasons of highs and lows. The best form has come in recent weeks which "pays back the many sacrifices." With 2015 winding down, one wonders what will be the objectives for this rider whose talent is striking.
" I live for the day," he said. "The main objectives, if the invitations arrive, will be Milan - San Remo and the Giro d'Italia. For the rest, I like to go to the races without thoughts, attack and see what I get."
