The bad luck cotinued for Androni-Sidermec at the GP di Prato where Andrea Zordan suffered a very serious injury. The former Italian U23 champion crashed at the bottom of the Montemurlo climb and suffered a fractured left femur. 

Transported to the hospital in Prato, the rider had surgery in the evening. 

This incident adds to the withdrawal of Emanuele Sella who had difficulties continue the race due the after-effects of the fracture of his femur suffered last February at the Trofeo Laigueglia.

"We are sorry for the serious injury of Zordan but the team will react once again," manager Gianni Savio said.
