Jan Ullrich, one of the famous former German riders, would be the responsible of an accident. He was driving near the village of Happerswil in Switzerland when he reportedly rear-ended another vehicle at a stop sign, in May 2014.
“It’s inexcusable to have driven in the state I was in. It was a terrible mistake, and I deeply regret it,” said Germany’s Ullrich, the 1997 Tour de France winner. Aged 41 years old, he risks a fine and jail sentence of up to three years if found guilty.
