The chances of Jelle Vanendert making the Tour de France were previously small, but now non-existent: Jelle Vanendert is not fit for the Tour. 

"I'm not even part of the pre-selection," he said. "Lotto is counting on me to take WorldTour points in the one-day races such as San Sebastian and the Canadian classics. And if I'm okay, I usually perform well there." 

Vanendert’s preparation for this is through the races of Switzerland, Austria and Wallonia. Lotto is still last in the World Tour Ranking and could use a few extra points In Switzerland.
