Jesus Herrada (1990) goes into his sixth pro season after having spent his entire career at the Movistar Team. The Tour de France will be back on the schedule as the Spaniard will follow a calendar that is similar to 2014 when he made his debut in the French race.
Herrada has confirmed his schedule to BiciCiclismo: Tour Down Under, Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, Vuelta a Murcia, Volta ao Algarve and Paris-Nice. Then he will have a short break and make his return at the Vuelta a La Rioja before heading to Circuit Cycliste Sarthe, Fleche Wallonne, Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Tour de Romandie.
In the second part of the season, the goal is the Tour "if all goes well although it is still far away," he says.
This year he did the Giro d'Italia and won stages at the Vuelt a a Asturias and the Tour du Limousin where he finished second overall. However, he broke his collarbone on August 23 in the Vattenfall Cyclassics and failed to return to competition. He won two bronze medals at the Spanish Championships and was instrumental in securing the gold medal for Luis Leon Sanchez at the European Games in Baku where he was fourth.
