Astana Pro Team has announced a two-year contract extension with current Tanel Kangert.
With the contact extension, 29-year-old Estonian will stay with the Kazakh team during the 2017-2018 seasons.
“We are very pleased with his work. Tanel is a big professional, we can always rely on him at the grand tours, in the high mountains. We are also glad to announce his contract extension before the Tour de France. I’m sure he will do his best during this race. We are very happy that he will stay with us for two more years," commented general manager Alexandr Vinokurov.
"Here we are! I'm really happy to have signed this new 2-year contract with the Astana Pro Team. I think in the past 6 years riding for this Team I've grown up so much as a professional rider but also as a person. I believe that the Astana Pro Team has always given me a great space and importance so I'm looking forward to the next 2 years wearing Kazakhs colors," said the Estonian rider.
During 2016 season Tanel Kangert has already won two stages at the Giro del Trentino and finished second at the race.
