Today the 4th stage of the 2.HC race Tour de Wallonie took place. The peloton covered 164.6km from Waterloo to Quaregnon. In spite of a few short climbs in the last part of the course as well as a number of attacks from the main group, the stage ended with a bunch sprint won by Jonas Van Genechten from IAM Cycling. He outsprinted Michael Mørkøv from Tinkoff-Saxo and Danny Van Poppel from Trek Factory Racing. Team Katusha’s Viacheslav Kuznetsov finished 11th.

"Today’s stage was quiet enough, without much stress. The main thing for us was to support Sergey Lagutin in the final part of the race to protect him and his 3rd place in the general classification. The team did it perfectly. In addition, Viacheslav Kuznetsov tried for himself in the bunch sprint, but maybe the group was too big for him. Anyway, he did a good sprint. Tomorrow we will have the decisive stage with a few hard climbs in the final," said Katusha’s sports director Gennady Mikhaylov.

No changes in the overall classification: Niki Terpstra from Etixx – Quick Step is still the leader, while Sergey Lagutin holds 3rd place, 36 seconds behind the leader.

Tomorrow it will be the 5th and the last stage of the Tour de Wallonie – 167,3 km from Chimay to Thuin.
