The final stage of the Tour de Slovénie came down to a group sprint in Novo Mesto with Slovenian rider Marko Kump (Adria Mobil) taking the stage win. For Team Katusha, Sven Erik Bystrøm was 12th on the stage. The GC win went to Primož Roglič of Adria Mobil with Egor Silin 12th for the GC at 56-seconds behind the Slovenian winner.
"Adria Mobil and Lampre-Merida did everything to chase back the break. We tried to bring Vladimir Isaychev to the sprint, but he had to brake twice in order to not crash in the dangerous last kilometers, so he was out of the fight for a podium place," said team director Claudio Cozzi.
The 165,5 km stage began in Rogaška Slatina. Team rider Eduard Vorganov was active in the breakaway of seven riders and took one of the intermediate sprints. The escapees were caught at 22 km from the finish and the group sprint followed in the final.
