"We worked for Zeits in the GC, so I'm really happy with my own Top-10 result. At the end of a really hard season that's pretty good for me. It's kind of a bummer that we couldn't take the jersey yesterday, but on the whole I'm satisfied."

Those were the words of Astana's Bakhtiyar Kozhatayev after stage nine at the Tour of Hainan. Kozhatayev finished the 2015 Tour of Hainan around the tropical Chinese island in seventh place, 26 seconds behind race winner Sacha Modolo of Italy.

Andrey Zeits finished second overall in the 2015 of Hainan, nine seconds back from Modolo, and won the blue jersey for Best Asian Rider. Astana Pro Team won the Best Team Classification at the 2015 Tour of Hainan.

With this result the 2015 race season officially closes, riders go home to rest and recover ahead of the team's first official meeting for the 2016 season at the end of November in Italy.
