The action of the second night at the Ghent Six Days did not result in any major shifts in the overall standings. Keisse/Mørkøv maintain a slim lead over three other teams in what promises to be a four team race that will be decided only in the final Madison on Sunday.
Once again Keisse and Mørkøv won the prestigious team elimination which gives the winning team quite a few points. In the Madisons all four leading teams appeared to be equal in strength and cancelling one another out, leaving space for Rasmussen and Hester to claim the first Madison of the evening. The Danes are likely to gain a bonus lap on the third evening if and when they reach 100 points but they do not seem to be able to pose a serious threat to the leading four teams which, coincidentally, all contain at least one Belgian rider.
